In the occident FENG SHUI is often understood as Eastern GEOMANCY. GEO means earth and MANTIA prophecy, therefore “earth-prophecy”. Nowadays we have a detailed knowledge of power spots and power lines (“leylines”) of the earth. The electro-magnetic field of the earth is kept together by different systems or “grids”: Benker-, Hartmann- and Curry-lines. Intersecting points of these lines can have a negative effect on health, especially when the bed is positioned on that point.
